The Payza thriller of the past 2 weeks doesn’t seem to have a happy end.

Payza News

They started with an announcement on 28th of November 2013 to tell us that they are limiting their services for certain U.S. States.

They continued with an announcement on 4rth of December 2013 to tell us that the account platform is no longer accessible to members in the United States.

The last announcement on 13th of December 2013 informed us that the U.S. Department of Justice released a phone number for U.S. residents that have questions or concerns about their Payza account.

The situation in few words is in this paragraph:

For those unfamiliar with the situation, Ultralight FS (formerly Obopay), a licensed money transmitter in many U.S. states entered into an Agreement with Payza, whereby we acted as an Agent of Obopay. This Agreement allowed Obopay to facilitate the transmission of money in the U.S. on behalf of Payza’s members. Obopay rescinded the Agreement leaving our U.S. members without a means to access their money. It is only recently that we learned that Obopay’s funds, including the funds held for the benefit of you our members, were seized.

All this doesn’t look good at all. No matter where you are from (and as long as you still have access to your Payza account), it might be a good idea to withdraw or spend your Payza funds.
